IFS Intensives
Because understanding the pattern was
never the problem.
IFS Intensives offer a powerful way to experience deep, focused healing through Internal Family Systems therapy in a condensed timeframe. If you've been feeling stuck in repetitive patterns, struggling with anxiety, or carrying the weight of past experiences, this format creates dedicated space for meaningful transformation through extended sessions designed to access and heal parts of yourself that need attention.
IFS Intensives are built for those ready to do focused, transformative work. Rather than spacing growth over months, we create the conditions where real breakthroughs become possible. When we work together in an extended format, your nervous system has time to settle, your protective parts have space to trust the process, and we can reach layers that might take much longer to access in weekly sessions.

What Is Internal Family Systems Therapy?
Internal Family Systems is an evidence-based approach that recognizes we all have different "parts" within us. The part that wants to speak up and the part that holds back. The part that craves connection and the part that builds walls. These parts developed to protect you, but strategies that made sense at five or fifteen don't always serve you at thirty-five.
IFS helps you develop a compassionate relationship with all your parts. Rather than trying to eliminate anxiety or silence your inner critic, we work to understand what each part is trying to do for you and help it find more effective ways to fulfill its positive intention.
This aligns with my biopsychosocial framework. I see therapy as an integrative process honoring the complexity of being human. Our well-being is shaped by our biology (nervous system, physical health), psychology (thoughts, emotions, beliefs), and social world (relationships, environment, culture).
Why Choose an Intensive Format?
In weekly therapy, we spend time settling in and reconnecting. By the time we reach deeper material, the session nears its end. In an intensive, we have time to stay with important material and follow where the work leads without watching the clock.
Intensives also create momentum. Life inevitably intervenes between weekly sessions. Work stress, travel, and everyday challenges can disrupt continuity. Intensives offer a protected container where you maintain momentum without losing ground.
For clients managing busy schedules across time zones, intensive sessions can be more practical than weekly appointments.

Two Formats for Individual Intensives
I offer two distinct intensive formats to match where you are and what you need:
Exploration Intensive: A shorter, focused process designed to build clarity and address a specific challenge. This format works well if you're newer to IFS, want to target a particular pattern or issue, or prefer to start with a contained experience before committing to deeper work. Exploration Intensives typically span one to two days of extended sessions.
Deepening Intensive: A sustained process for those ready for deeper repair and long-term transformation. This format is ideal if you've done therapeutic work before, are facing complex or layered challenges, or want comprehensive access to your internal system. Deepening Intensives extend across multiple days with longer session blocks, allowing for thorough processing and integration.
Both formats include pre-intensive preparation and post-intensive integration support. During our consultation, we'll discuss which format aligns with your goals and readiness.
What Your Intensive Looks Like
Every intensive is personalized to your unique needs. There's no one-size-fits-all approach. Here's what to expect:
Before: We begin with a free 15-minute consultation to explore whether this format is right for you. You'll then have an initial session for goal setting and parts mapping, where I'll introduce experiential meditation and mindfulness practices to support the work.
During: Your intensive consists of extended sessions (typically three to four hours each) where we dive deep into IFS work with the parts most connected to what brought you to therapy. I draw from the science of how mind, body, and nervous system work together. This isn't just talk therapy. We pay attention to what's happening in your body and may incorporate Brainspotting when it serves the work. Sessions include breaks to support your nervous system.
After: You'll have practices and insights to carry forward. I provide mindfulness practices to support continued growth. Many clients find shifts that continue unfolding in the weeks and months that follow.

Who Benefits Most
You might be a good fit if you feel stuck in patterns despite understanding them intellectually, are navigating a significant life transition, have done therapy before and are ready to go deeper, or live a high-demand lifestyle that makes weekly appointments challenging.
I work with adults and couples dealing with anxiety, depression, work stress and burnout, relationship challenges, self-esteem struggles, grief, and trauma across San Francisco and Jakarta. Many of my clients are navigating cultural adjustment and expat challenges or high-pressure work environments. I speak this language because I've lived it through my own corporate experience, motherhood, and marriage.
My approach integrates Brainspotting, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Relational Life Therapy (RLT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) within a biopsychosocial framework. This means I'm not just listening to your words, I'm attuning to how your body holds memory, how your nervous system responds to stress, and how your daily habits either support or hinder the healing process.

Intensives vs. Weekly Sessions
Intensive Sessions (described above) are designed for focused, accelerated progress through deep-dive work condensed into a structured timeframe.
Weekly Sessions are best for those seeking consistent, ongoing support and gradual change over time. This traditional format offers 50-minute sessions on a regular schedule.
For couples, all work begins with a customized Couple Counselling Intensive. You'll choose between an Exploration Intensive (shorter process for specific challenges) or a Deepening Intensive (sustained process for deeper repair).

ReaI believe that investing in therapy is one of the most meaningful commitments you can make to yourself and your relationships. My approach is tailored to meet you where you are, whether you're seeking focused, accelerated progress through an Intensive or prefer the steady rhythm of Weekly Sessions.
